used baby grand piano soundboard

A European piano design that uses cutting edge technology at a great price.

This stunning Pramberger designed used baby grand player piano – it’s a great piano to play or to just sit back and listen to.

Joseph Pramberger enjoyed a storied career at Steinway & Sons before founding his own piano company. As one of the pioneers of the wide-tail, lower-tension scale design, his mission was to build high quality affordable pianos. One of the newer brands on the scene, Pramberger pianos offer exceptional value for those on a budget.

How does this compare to a new piano? It features a Spruce Soundboard, full length ribs, and an all hardwood European style action. In an age when higher price Yamaha pianos and Kawai Pianos use plastic action parts, it is still possible to find a piano built of fine materials in an affordable price range.

We’ve compared this piano to new Chinese pianos by Baldwin, Hailun, Brodmann and even more expensive fringe brands pianos like Petrof, Bohemia, and Estonia piano and found that the construction, design, stability, touch, and sound are far superior. If you’re considering one of these pianos new at a higher price, you’ll want to see this baby grand piano first!

About Joseph Pramberger

His family’s history of piano building can be followed back to the late 1700’s in the Black Forest of Bavaria. Joseph’s father, Anton, immigrated to the United States in 1913 to work at Steinway & Sons. Following in his father’s footsteps, Joseph started working at the company in 1958, eventually becoming promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing.

After retiring, Joseph and Anton started a business restoring pianos in New York, but Joseph’s dream was always to design his own instruments. His Pramberger Platinum Pianos, which used an action he designed which was build by Renner, was considered the first budget piano that rivaled the fine European builders.

Today, Pramberger Pianos are built by Samick, one of the most respected piano mass producers, in accordance with the high standards established by Mr. Pramberger.
